Love your eyebrows ;)

Yesterday was the day I finally went to get my eyebrows waxed after a too long period of not getting them professionally done. And I realized one more time how important it is to actually take care of your eyebrows. When I looked into the mirror after my Lady was done waxing and shaping them I right away saw the huge difference it makes. My eyes looked bigger and my whole faced had a more edgier and clean look to it.
I wanna share with you which products you can use to enhance your eyebrows even more.
Depending on your eyebrow color and shape you can line them or just fill them in with powder or both.
For my eyebrows I use a light to medium auburn color to fill them in. I usually do not line them because for my face shape and hair color it comes of too much.
My favorite product to fill my eyebrows in is the Clinique Eyebrow-shaper.
It is a powdery product with I think some kind of wax that makes the color stay on your eyebrows all day and also holds them in shape. It is 15$ and it is gonna last you for a very long time.

If you want to accentuate your eyebrows more you can line them first with an eyebrow pencil and then continue to fill them in. Personally if I do line my eyebrows I use MUD's pencils but I also like the Chanel Eyebrow Pencil
They have the pencil on the one end and a brow shaper brush on the other which comes in really handy also for after you filled your eyebrows in with the "Powder" you can brush over your finished eyebrow to ease the color out if you feel like you applied too much.

The color you wanna choose for your eyebrows depends on your hair and skin color. You can go a little bit darker then your hair color since your eyebrows are usually naturally a little bit darker than your hair but be careful not too go too dark otherwise it could have a weird effect and just throw off the balance. Like this picture below.
This is a very good example for too dark eyebrows and in my opinion too thick eyebrows. Her hair is light blonde her make up very colorful and the eyebrows just have a bad effect on the whole finished look. To me a lighter color and thinner shaped eyebrows would benefit her delicate face.
In the end it is up to you to decide what color to use, just feel comfortable with the end product. ;-)

Ok, lets get them eyebrows lined and filled in to make your eyes pop and your face glow. ;-)

Photoshoot with Karie

I recently collaborated with Photographer AhrenNunagPhotography and Karie the girl in the pictures showing below.
Ahren came up with the idea of taking pictures of regular people and showing the beauty and versatilitiy of everyday girls and women and showing that you do not have to be a supermodel to be beautiful. I love the idea and of course wanted to be part of the photoshoot.
Karie the girl in the picture is a remarable women and truly pretty and I think Ahren and me did a great job showing it with these pictures.

Me working my magic :)

Ahren and Me just simply brought out her natural beauty.

Summer Time

Hey Ladies its Summer time.
Time to get your bikinis out and get a little tan on.
Don't forget your beach cover up and a nice sun hat for a perfect beach day.
Take a look at this stylish cover up from Kenneth Cole.
You can get it at Macy's or KennethCole.com.
It suits every women and is a flattering one piece you can wear for a nice day at the beach.

Also check out this beautiful long silk dress from Calvin Klein.

For a good sun protection wear at least SPF 30 and a hat. It will not only give you a little shade it will also give you a fancy beach look.

For a casual chic look try this flowy sand-colored hat.

Maxi-Dress

Hey Ladies
It is time to get your summer wardrobe out of the back of your closet.
One of my favorite items this season are the very colorful Maxi-Dresses.
They are perfect for the beach or a trip to the city.
Here are my two favorite ones.
First one: INC
spacer.gifIt is an INC crisscross shoulder maxi dress and i love how it is a shorter in the front and longer in the back, giving it a little bit more of a feminine and dressier touch.

The second one is a leopard print maxi dress which I really like.
It is a Calvin Klein dress you can purchase at Macy's as well. It is very chic but also casual.
I couldn't find the exact same one but the one to the link is a similar one.

There are very many different styles, cuts and colors in stores right now and if you don't have one yet you should definitely add one to your summer wardrobe.

A flawless finish

Hey everyone.
I hope you had a nice weekend and a good start in the new week.
I was shopping for groceries yesterday when I came across the beauty isle in my local target.
And I always like to see what new products are on the market to compete with the high end lines.
As you know I am a fan of the elf products and some of you might think they are not good in quality and I do admit some of the products are not worth buying but other work just as good or even better. Anyways I found the correcting powder by elf which is separated into four little squares that are supposed to conceal little imperfections.

I've seen powders like this from other lines like Bobbi Brown etc. and I know they do work amazingly well, so I wanted to give the 3$ Elf pressed powder a try.  I gotta say it works pretty well.
It does what it promises, concealing little imperfections like redness and it gives a nice and even complexion.
How to use:
1. For everybody that doesn't know how to use these powders, you simply apply your foundation as usual
2. Then take a nice big and fluffy blending brush or a powder foundation brush
like the one showing, and dip it in the palette  and move your brush in a circular motion so that all four colors blend together on your brush.
Make sure that the powder sits in your brush not on top of it otherwise it will fall off the brush and onto your clothes. To get the powder into the bristles simple tap your brush on a counter top.
3.  After you have done so, brush all over your face in a circular motion. That's pretty much it. You will see the difference right away.
So if you do not want to spent 50$ on a palette like this the elf correcting pallet is a nice and cheap alternative.
